The way I write is very fly by the seat of my pants. I don't outline my stories or plot out the way my stories go. I have a general direction that I would like them to go, but as I write, the characters take over and I find myself down a road I didn't expect. A character I was certain would only be a minor character in a subplot becomes an integral part of the main plot. The character I had pegged as the villain suddenly becomes a victim of a greater villain. Characters grow in my heart and I cannot bear to leave them out of the grand adventure. Supporting characters gain my interest and I am curious to know their back stories and personalities. Sometimes I wonder if I really am a writer or simply a recorder of a new world.
