I have been terrible updating you all with what I am reading. I read every day when I workout, and in the evenings a little. So, I am going to list the books I am currently reading.

At home, I am re-reading The Oath by Frank Peretti. The length of the book is 550 pages. It is a suspenseful book of a little town, Hyde River, that harbors a terrible secret. A secret that has the citizens of this small town paying for their sins. One night, a couple are attacked while camping near Hyde River and the husband is killed. His death is chalked up to a rogue bear, considering only the lower half of the body is found. But his brother, Steve Benson, doesn't buy it. He goes to investigate, but the town of Hyde River is determined to keep its secret. Will Steve ever get to the bottom of his brother's death? Or will he fall victim to the same fate?

While working out, I am reading The Crescent Stone by Matt Mikalatos. It is the first book in The Sunlit Land Series. The length of the book is 423 pages. It opens with a young girl, Madeline Oliver, after she has been diagnosed with an incurable lung disease. While at school, she collapses and he lab partner, Jason Wu, takes her to the hospital. While there, a strange man appears, stopping time for everyone, except for Madeline. The man offers to cure Madeline's lung disease for a year of service in the Sunlit Lands. As the man is presenting his offer, Jason walks into the room, unaffected by the magic. The man is stunned, but Jason only shrugs his shoulders and warns Madeline not to trust the man. The man explains that Madeline can accept the deal whenever she wishes, but warns her that when time restarts, the lack of magic could strain her body. The man vanishes and time restarts, causing Madeline's breathing to worsen. She tells Jason to find the man as he is ushered out of the room by doctors and nurses. Jason finds the man, but demands that he go with Madeline. The man agrees and the pair are given bracelets to allow them into the Sunlit lands. The pair travel to the Sunlit lands uncertain as to what they will find. What all will they face in this new land? Will the man keep his word? Will either of the return home? I suppose I will have to keep reading to find out.
