Having finished a fantasy series, which left me disappointed, I decided to read a science fiction book next, hoping for a better result.

I checked out a copy of "All Systems Red: The Murderbot Diaries" by Martha Wells.

I am nine chapters in and find it interesting with a few things that are very annoying, but I still have a long ways to go in the book.

This is the first book in a series called The Murderbot Diaries. It was published in 2017 and won the Hugo Award for Best Novella and Nebula Award for Best Novella, both in 2018. The book is published by TOR.

• I finished the novella while I was working out this morning. The ending was abrupt, but not surprising for a novella.
